Over many years Sandown Rotary Club have in one way or another always tried to support local events where possible. Sandown Regatta is no exception. With a number of Rotary members also members of the Regatta committee this has stretched our resources at times.
Various stalls along the Esplanade on Regatta day is a tradition that has been part of the Regatta for many years now, almost from its beginning back in 1853.
Sandown Rotary again have used this opportunity to not only have a stall where we could make some extra funds, but it also is a time when the Club shows it face to the general public and meets both locals, who hopefully might become members, and often greet Rotarians from the mainland who are on holiday.
Although this year we were unfortunatly rained off at lunchtime, it was a successful and enjoyable day on the Esplanade.
