Kate Brophy – Rose Specialist – Fryers Roses - Knutsford , Cheshire.
Zoom talk on "From Seed To Pot" - the journey of a new rose.
Kate will explain how a new rose comes into being and the stages it goes through until it becomes commercially available.
Kate studied Countryside Recreation and Management at Seale Hayne College of Agriculture in Devon in the early 1980s. She then lived and worked in various parts of England and Wales before going back to Cheshire. In need of a job she applied to Fryer's Roses as a seasonal rose packer in 1993 and the rest, as they say , is history as she is still there
