Blue Plaque for Captain Arthur Phillip RN. Founder of Sydney.

Captain Phillip (later Admiral Phillip) founded the settlement of Sydney and was later appointed first Governor of New South Wales. Our ceremony was at Goose Green, Lyndhurst. The blue plaque was donated by New Forest Rotary Club. Event details below

President Philip and Fiona, participated.. Starting in Dan Tanners Field, Burley. Steve also did the walk and George and Anne were helpers. There was a choice of 7, 10 and 20 mile walks.through the New Forest.

Club Service organised visit to Marchwood. We saw the luxury hand built yachts being built from start to finish.

Dinner Meeting TALK BY BECKEY WITHEY, AMBASSADORIAL SCHOLAR.

Beckey was sponsored by Cosham Rotary Club as an Ambassadorial Scholar for 2012/2013. Becky is studying for a Masters in Development Studies and spent for a year at the University of Ghana in Accra.

Asda and Morrisons Supermarkets welcomed us into their foyers to collect for local charities.

SONNING WEEKEND & PRESIDENT'S NIGHT

A relaxing time at Sonning on the Thames. Our Hotel was the Great House and we went to a Dinner Theatre on the Friday evening. On Saturday we cruised on the Thames and later had President's Night at our Hotel. Fuller story below the pictures

CHEQUE TO BROCK SCHOOL

THE CLUB MADE A DONATION TO BROCKENHURST PRIMARY CHURCH OF ENGLAND SCHOOL WHICH IS FUND RAISING FOR A COMPUTER SUITE FOR THE CHILDREN. PRESIDENT ROBIN MADE THE HANDOVER AND ALSO ADDRESSED A SCHOOL ASSEMBLY.
