On Saturday, October 4th we helped at the annual Inter Club Sports Day between Gateway clubs* from all over the area. There were eight teams from Southwest Hampshire plus one from Bournemouth. Ryan Stevens of Brockenhurst Gateway Club organised the event and our Rotary Club provided most of the helpers at the 9 different activity stations.
The whole event was riotous, extremely loud, exciting and very enjoyable.
The winners were Eastleigh Multi-Sports and The New Forest Rotary Club Cup for the best team spirit was awarded to New Milton Gateway Club.
* Gateway clubs provide social and leisure activities for adults with learning and physical
disabilities. Members get great enjoyment, build self-esteem and make new friends.
