REPORT BY THE ORGANISER JOHN THOMSON.

"For the fifth year running the Club has arranged for Christmas
gift-filled shoeboxes to go to the Honeypot Childrens Charity, which
supports vulnerable children and young carers aged 5-12 throughout
England and Wales, but largely in Hampshire.   700 shoeboxes have been
collected this year, bringing the cumulative total over the five years
to 3,400, valued at (our estimate) some £32,000

"In addition to members, friends and other contacts, we are grateful to
the following schools for their enthusiastic support yet again:
Abbotswood Junior, Bartley Junior, Brockenhurst College, Brockenhurst
Primary, Burley Primary, Calmore Infants, Calmore Junior, Copythorne
Infants, Foxhills Infants, Hazelwood Infants, Lydlynch Infants,
Lyndhurst Infants and St Michaels Church, Netley Marsh Infants, Oakfield
Primary, and Tiptoe Primary.

"In thanking us and the very generous donors of the boxes, Simmi
Woodwal, the Chief Executive Officer of Honeypot, has written that as
many of their children receive very little at Christmas, the excitement,
enjoyment and sheer delight of receiving such a special gift will truly
make their Christmas."

Information on the Honeypot Childrens Charity can be found at www.honeypot.org.uk and on the New Forest Rotary Club at www.newforestrotary.co.uk.
