We had a very well attended Family and Friends evening at the Crown. After the meal there was a surprise presentation of two Paul Harris Fellowships to Eddie Baker and Patrick Dibben. President announced the award of Rotary's highest award to the delight of all members and guests and not least of all to Eddie and Patrick - and of course Penny and Judy. Congratulations you two. Very well deserved.
After the awards we had a really excellent speaker in Bill Coombes from Bournemouth, himself a Rotarian, who showed fascinating pctures and film of the International Space Station and also showed how many items in everyday use had come from the space research.
