Friday 10th April dawned bright and clear and was followed by perfect sunshine, which matched the mood of the party from the N.F. Rotary Club who spent a lovely weekend together at the Four Spires Hotel, Oxford.

Our Group made up of Patrick & Judy Dibben, Mary Adcock, Eddie & Penny Baker, Philip & Fiona Dinn, Sue Gully, Tony & Pauline Hole, Lawrie & Jan Lansdell and Clive & Shirley Rutland, arrived at various times during Friday and everyone spent time doing 'their own thing' before meeting up for pre-dinner drinks with Patrick and Judy followed by dinner in the hotel restaurant.

Saturday morning after breakfast we met our Tour Guide, Elizabeth Hudson, for our walking tour along the river bank, through Oxford to New College and ending up outside the Bodleian Library, about two and a half hours in all.   We all felt that Elizabeth did a really excellent job and her commentary was first class and enjoyed by everyone.

Saturday afternoon saw us take a boat trip, including a cream tea,  down the river south of Oxford and through Iffley lock - a very picturesque area of the Thames and a very pleasant way to end our day.

Pre-dinner drinks and dinner followed in the evening and after breakfast on Sunday morning, we all made our various ways homewards.

As well as enjoying what Oxford City had to offer we also all had the opportunity to meet, talk and get to know everyone just a little bit better than we would otherwise have been able to which was, perhaps, the best part of the weekend.
