An Evening Event at Furzey Gardens.

Mon, May 19th 2014 at 12:00 am - 12:00 am

A short talk and a tour of the gardens with the Head Gardener followed by a finger buffet.

This visit replaced our monthly Family and Friends dinner evening.  It was organised by Tony Roe who send in the following report and also supplied the photos.

"The visit to Furzey Gardens on 19th May was excellent, blessed mostly with dry weather-only a few spots later on. The gardens started in 1975 cover 10 acres or so and we saw about a quarter guided in two groups by Pete White, the Head Gardener and Martin Lennaarts who was in at the beginning.
The Gardens were very colourful with rhododendrons, azaleas and diverse floribunda. An oasis of calm, birds singing broken only by Rotarians' and partners' laughter on the veranda.

The buffet was superb leading to "why don't we do this more often". "
