Welcome to the Doughnut Dash, a new two-mile run fun taking place along Stokes Bay on the Whitsun Bank Holiday Monday, May 25.
Money raised from the Doughnut Dash will go to the Gosport Diving Museum, Naomi House and Jackplace hospices for children and young adults.
The base for the Doughnut Dash will be the Diving Museum on Stokes Bay Road (PO12 2QT) where you can collect your numbers and also register on the day. Registration starts at 8am and the run begins at 9am from the start of the Stokes Bay promenade next to the Alverbank East car park. It is a short half mile walk from the Diving Museum. There is plenty of car parking next to the Diving Museum and all along the seafront.
The fun run starts at the top of the Stokes Bay promenade, and heads towards Fort Gilkicker where you turn and head back. Just as you pass the lifeboat station, there will be a feed station where you stop to collect and eat two doughnuts. The Krispy Kreme doughnuts are also vegan. However, if you are gluten-free or have any allergies, then you should NOT eat the doughnuts. There is no requirement to eat the doughnuts to take part. Water will be available at the feed station.
You then run, jog or walk the final half mile to the finish where you will be presented with a Doughnut Dash medal.
We are grateful for the support of Krispy Kreme and also Langdale Nursing Home in Gosport for their sponsorship and support.
To enter the event, visit: https://bit.ly/4leJ5ry The cost is £10 per adult, and £5 for a child under 16. There is a family ticket of two adults and two children for £25.
