Gosport Vehicle Rally prize-giving

One key aspect of the Gosport Vehicle Rally & Fun Day is the judging of the fleet of classic cars and vintage vehicles.


Rotarian Jim Bevington captured pictures of some of the amazing two and four-wheeled vehicles which paraded around Stokes Bay, as well as images of some of the fun events taking place alongside the vehicle show.

Julie Lambert's Simca Aronde Coupe won the Best In Show award, which was presented by the Gosport Mayor, Cllr Jamie Hutchison, and another prestigious award, the Roy Edge Shield, was presented to the owner of an historic Dedion Bruton Voilurette. Cindy's husband, Roy, was a long-time member of the rally organising committee. Following his death, Cindy inaugurated a prize awarded to the car she considers her husband would have liked. Cindy continues to help with registrations at the event.

Motorcycles/Scooters pre-1996: Triumph Trident, owned by Michael Phillips.

Motorcycles/Scooters 1997-2022: Triumph Bonneville.

Three-wheelers: Harley Trike.

Buses, Comm, Emergency Vehicles: Dodge American Police Car, owned by Deane Evans.
