Presentation to B48 Club (28 January 2026)

Our thanks go to Andrew Carey as Chair and the members of the B48 Club for their kind invitation to speak at their meeting. The event was hosted at 1857 Restaurant at the Kings Health Club which proved to be a perfect venue to accommodate more than 40 members of the Group. Thank you to the staff for their superb hospitality and for the excellent catering.

President Carla was able to introduce the B48 members to the work and activities undertaken by Rotary International and what impact the main pillars of Rotary and the ethos of “service above self” have in our local community.

She was joined by Chris Roberts who spoke of our international activities with reference to our recent support of End Polio and Shelterbox and Brian Acton who was able to inform the Group of our Centenary initiatives and our membership opportunities that now include the possibility of offering a corporate membership.

The presentation was concluded by showing the uplifting and thought provoking video of the Rotary Founders promoting Rotary Peace and Fellowship Worldwide.

This proved to be an ideal opportunity to showcase the Rotary Club of Guernsey to such a wide network of local professionals from all walks of life.
