This year's Young Chef competition, sponsored by The Channel Islands Coop and judged by the Guernsey Hospitality Association, is set to take place on 29 January at the College of Further Education.
Organised by the Rotary Club of Guernsey, the competition is open to all young people who will end the school year between the ages of 11 and 17, and aims to encourage them to develop their culinary skills, including practising good hygiene, time management and organisation.
The competition runs nationally, with local champions going on to compete at ‘District Finals’ and then ‘Cluster Finals’ with the champions of other local heats. Eventually, the winners will continue on to compete in the National Final in April.
The competition is still open to students interested in signing up, so long as they will be between 11 and 17 on 31 August 2025.
