Christmas is always a very busy time for us all, but it is also a wonderful time for the 3 Rotary Clubs and Inner Wheel Club to come together. This year, Reverend Daniel Foot of St Martins Parish Church led us in our annual carol service, the singing was led by 12 members of the Salvation Army Band.
It was very much a partnership effort, with Rosemary Bishop-White helping to plan the service and Paul and Michelle Steel serving mulled wine. I will never stop being amazed how the Clubs all come together in camaraderie, to help each other and our community. This year a collection was taken for Inner Wheel’s Charity of the year, Safer, raising £200 and additional donations were taken for the refreshments to benefit our End Polio appeal.
This year we each lit a candle to participate in a period of peaceful reflection, not only for the season, but on everything that the Clubs have achieved in 2025 and to look forward to 2026.

And a very big thank you to Julie Bulpitt who was the lead organiser of the Rotary Carol Service for the first time this year.
