Registration has just opened for yet another iconic Round Island Walk, Guernsey’s much loved endurance challenge and its largest mass fundraiser. The date is set for 2026 is Saturday 6th June.
The event, now in its 28th year, is jointly staged by the two Rotary Clubs on the Island in partnership with longstanding lead event sponsor, Saffery Trust. Their generosity, together with that of many other corporate sponsors, enable the Rotary Clubs to boast that EVERY PENNY of sponsorship raised by the 1,000+ walkers expected again this year will be donated to benefit a number of carefully selected Bailiwick charities. In 2025 over £100,000 was distributed to island charities.
So, we urge all Rotarians once more to enthusiastically publicise the Walk and encourage those outside the clubs, both on and off the island, to commit to being part of this amazing event. Whether it’s a ‘first’ or an opportunity to return to once more conquer Guernsey’s wonderful coastline, walkers will enjoy this unique and special achievement.
Don’t forget, this is an event for EVERYONE. So, if the full 39-mile challenge is simply too big, details can be found on our website of our Relay and Family Walks as well as the SRW Step by Step event held on the same day which welcomes senior members of the community to be part of something truly amazing.
Full details can be found at safferyrotarywalk.org.gg together with a link to register. Individual walkers registering early will enjoy our Earlybird discounted registration fee. So, ACT NOW!
