A Walk in The Park, quite literally!
Saturday 16th May 10:00 am Saumarez Park cafe for a walk in the park (partners welcome), guided by Andy McCutcheon who spoke to the club in February.
A chance to see the impact of storm Goretti on some of the trees in the park, a brief history of some of the planting & trees in the park, and your chance to ask questions about the many trees & shrubs.
It will be a gentle walk, about an hour, with brunch in the cafe & time for a chat after the walk.
Parking in the rear carpark near Home Farm generally has more spaces than the children's play ground car park.
Numbers are limited, so don't delay, first 15 responses guaranteed, cut off at 20 places.
A nominal charge of £5 per person, as a donation to the Trees for life charity, pay for your own coffee or tea after the walk. If you are particularly peckish then the Fat boy breakfast is for you, great value at £8.75, includes black pudding & fried bread, forbidden treats!
Payments to the club account Sort 40-22-25 – Acc . 41834711 ref "Surname" & Trees
Let Dave Parish know you wish to attend & that you have paid.
You will be in the safe hands of Pete Falla who is also a Tree Warden & Andy McCutcheon, so put the date in your diary & sign up
