Speaker: Dr Louise Misselke, Principal, The Guernsey Institute.

Louise has worked in education for over 26 years, originally teaching Health and Social Care.

Louise was a qualified nurse working in Guernsey, UK and Australia, she has also worked in Public Health as well as teaching in Higher Education. Louise has Cert Ed, a BSc in Health, and an MSc in Education.

In addition, Louise recently graduated with a professional doctorate in education - her area of interest is an exploration of the so-called academic vocational divide.

Louise has been Principal of The Guernsey Institute College (formerly the Guernsey College of Further Education) for 9 years, prior to this she was Vice Principal for 4 years. As Principal she is committed to the development of excellence in teaching and learning, and is always seeking new ways to enable and support innovation in vocational pedagogy.
