Talk Report

Nico Bezuidenhout, Chief Executive of Aurigny provided an update on the airlines plans for 2026 and answered questions from members. 2025 had recorded the highest level of passengers carried by the airline since its formation in 1968 and given known route changes in 2026, Aurigny expected to maintain this peak into 2026.

Nico explained the strategic objectives for the airline as defined by the States of Guernsey, which included the need to maintain lifeline routes and to break even.

He reflected on the challenges the airline had faced in 2024, alongside wider aviation market challenges, which included pilot shortages, cost pressures and supply chain issues.

He expressed the airlines commitment to the Bailiwick's residents and his assurance that the airline would do its very best to meet its objectives and to provide a reliable service into 2026.
