Kya Robson Is Programmes Officer of African Adventures who our club have been supporting along with other clubs for a couple of years on a project to feed 300 children in West African a special meal at Christmas.

They do much more than this with arranging school, colleague, Scout and Guide trips, plus corporate volunteering experiences, having 16 years experience of working with 34 schools in developing areas of Ghana, Kenya and Zanzibar impacting the lives of 25,000 people in Africa.

Talk Report

Kya Robson Programmes Officer of African Adventures, which our club has now been supporting for the last 3 years, spoke on a project to feed 3000 + children in West Africa a special meal at Christmas.

African Adventures is a unique travel company who have partnered with 34 schools in developing areas of Ghana, Kenya and Zanzibar.

Their work to date in Kenya has included 4 Water Tanks, the building or refurbishing of 17 Classrooms, and 1,230 students have received two daily meals. In Ghana 6 classrooms have been refurbished, 40 Maternity Packs are distributed monthly, and 4,920 Sanitary Pads have been distributed. In Zanzibar after 10 years of working there they have renovated 24 Classrooms and impacted on 19,000 students.

This year will be their biggest Christmas Meal Appeal to date as they aim to provide 3,423 children who attend their partner schools in Ghana and Kenya with a delicious Christmas meal so they can celebrate Christmas like any other child.
