Daniel is a distinguished finance professional who recently joined KPMG in Guernsey as an Audit Assistant Manager, bringing his international experience from PwC Ghana & Liberia to our island community. An award-winning professional and ACCA member, he leverages his skills in financial analysis, risk management, and strategic planning to deliver value not only for his clients but also for the community. As the former Treasurer for the Rotaract Club of Accra-Ring Road Central, Daniel was a key leader in one of the region's most active service organizations. In his talk to the Rotary Club of Guernsey, Daniel will share insights from his life in Accra and the impactful work of his Rotaract club. He will discuss the power of leveraging professional skills for social good, the lessons learned in building a sustainable community project from the ground up, and his perspective on service as a bridge between cultures.

On Wednesday 24th September, we welcomed Daniel Kumah, a new member of our Rotary Club, to tell us about his experiences with the Rotaract Club of Accra, with whom he was a member and Treasurer, until recently moving to Guernsey.
He told us about his experiences with his Club and their community achievements which included manufacturing sanitary products for those who were unable to afford them and improving driving safety in Accra, Ghana.
He highlights some of the successful impacts of the driving initiative in the short video.
Daniel told how the lessons from the Rotaract Club initiatives, helped him to learn that in order to be successful the projects need to be sustainable, that professional skills were needed and that resilience were all required to make the community projects work and continue into the future.
We very much welcome the skills and experience that Daniel brings with him and we look forward to his participation in our community projects.
