The new bench at the site of the Japanese Pavilion has now been
installed and thanks to Nigel Dorey for sourcing the seat and
coordinating the fitting with the additional cobbled areas and the
proposed general tidying of the site.
It is also proposed that two cherry trees will be planted in the area
and hopefully a soft pressure washing of the Pavilion itself.
The new seating area will provide a perfect spot for rest and relaxation
in what is a very popular area of the park and I am sure that this will
continue to be enjoyed by all in the community for many years to come.
It is a pleasure to see the Pavilion enjoyed by all ages in all seasons
and the fitting of the bench certainly enhances and compliments our
Centenary project.
We hope that you will be able to visit the site yourself soon and take advantage of the new seating area.
