Once again, the Rotary Foundation Quiz was held on 22nd March at the St. Martin’s Community Centre.
The quiz raises funds for the Rotary Foundation, which is the main Rotary charity, and which was established over 100 years ago “to do good in the World”.
The quiz was attended by around 140 eager quizzers, and a good night was had by all. Even the team who came last seem to have enjoyed it. We raised just short of £3,000 for the Rotary Foundation.
The quizmaster was Sean McManus, ably assisted by his efficient team.
Food was acquired and prepared by Alan and Heather Dearman and the bar was run by Nathan and Rebecca Silk.
Thanks are also due to Steve Hogg, David Mortimer, Phil Stevenson and Rod Goldsbrough for helping out both in the preparation and on the night.
Thanks also to the Guernsey Dairy for donating the cheese which formed part of Ploughman’s Supper which was served.
