This year marks the 26th annual Saffery Rotary Walk, which will take place on Saturday 8th June.
21 local charities will benefit from the money raised from the Walk, and this selection represents a diverse range of charity sectors across the island, such as healthcare,
sport, social care, arts, leisure and more. The chosen charities are listed below.
Walk Chairman, Simon Milsted, said: “The Saffery Rotary Walk is proud to
be supporting 21 wonderful local charities this year. We have the difficult
task of deciding which charities will benefit each year, but we are confident
in our selection.
“The continued financial support and commitment of our sponsor, Saffery
Trust, ensures that all of the money raised by our
walkers and those who sponsor them
will be available to benefit theselocal charities.”
Simon continues: “We hope to achieve another record-breaking year, both
through the number of sign ups and money raised.”
Saffery Trust Director, Lisa Vizia said: “It a privilege to be a part of the Saffery Rotary Walk each year, and to see the real difference that the Walk makes to so many lives.
“Saffery Trust’s continued sponsorship of the Walk is so important, and we take this responsibility very seriously. The annual Walk reflects our core values and this contribution to wider island life is a big priority to us.”
“The 21 chosen charities are so deserving, and the Guernsey community will benefit immensely from the money raised by this fantastic event. We encourage you to sign up now to play your part in making a real difference to so many charities.”
Registration is open for individuals and relay teams, and details about the family walk can be found on via the following link. Everyone is encouraged to participate in another exciting year for the Walk. You can register for the Walk here: https://safferyrotarywalk.org.gg/registration.
