With instant results, the digital camera and mobile phone have revolutionised photography. As a talent and art form, Rotary celebrates the photographic skills of young people with a sequence of competitions that allows them to demonstrate and display what they can produce.
The Rotary Club of Guernsey is once again holding this annual competition during 2023. Last year we had some excellent photos sent in for us to judge.
This year the Theme is The Beauty of Architecture. But here on Guernsey we have decided to expand this Theme, to include any building of significant merit. It could be a photo of a Napoleonic Fort, German Bunker, A Church, Public Building, School, a Modern or Old House. Anything that you can consider is of merit. So this will give you a wide choice.
The Photo must be at least 1500 pixels on the longest length. Mobile Phones or Cameras can be used.
Age groups are 7 to 10 years, 11 to 13 years and 14 to 17 years of age.
There will be prizes to win.
All you have to do is let me know if you are going to enter by emailing martin.ozanne@me.com with your name, age, school, as soon as you can.
The closing dates for the photo entries to be sent to the above email address is the 9th of September.
