Team Polio Shop Guernsey – Rotarians Paul and Jannine Birtwistle of the Rotary Club of Guernsey will be taking part in Rotary in Great Britain and Ireland President Denis Spiller’s Purple4Polio Grand Tour Monday 21st – Thursday 24th May 2018. They are the only team from Rotary District 1110 in Hampshire, parts of Dorset and Wiltshire, Channel Islands and Isle of Wight taking part.
See all the detail about the Grand Tour by clicking HERE.
Guernsey Polio Bear will be the second navigator / mascot for Team Polio Shop Guernsey and he has been working hard on planning the route for weeks now. He is getting very excited about seeing so much of England, Scotland and Wales – with nearly 1700 miles mapped out and they are all almost ready to roll.
Paul, Jannine and Guernsey Polio Bear would love you to follow their journey and their first ever attempt at writing a blog. If you want to help make history by sponsoring them, with every penny donated going to Rotary’s campaign to End Polio Now and forever, just click this link to their Virgin Giving Money page. Every £1 donated will be trebled by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. They have already reached their initial fund raising goal of £2,500 but would love to smash it!
Paul and Jannine's Tour can be followed on their blog.
