Visit of the Rotary Clubs of Chard, Rotherham, Tulln, & Dingolfing-Landau (20 July 2016)


On Wednesday 20th July we were delighted to be joined at Lunch by 20 visitors from Austria, Germany and the UK.

A party of 16 joined us from the Rotary Club of Tulln, Lower Austria and the Rotary Club of Dingolfing-Landau, Bavaria.

We were also joined by John & Gloria Box and Robin & Chris Williams. John is President of the Rotary Club of Rotherham, South Yorkshire and Robin is the Immediate Past President of the Rotary Club of Chard, Somerset.

53 sat down to lunch. Alan (Crossley) introduced our English guests and Margrit then introduced our Austrian and German guests. After lunch the exchange of pennants took place at which time the Rotary Club of Guernsey was also presented with a plate by Ismail Sadek of RC Tulln. The plates which are all individually made, and are a limited edition, recognise 30 years of RC Tulln. It was also accompanied by a brochure of their activities.

Lunch concluded with Chris Bradshaw's first "Face to Face" with President Elect Simon Milsted the victim.
