Sunday 22nd June was the date for the Clubs Handover picnic at Terry Andrew's beautiful home. Once again Terry gave us full run of his very unique Crown Bowls Green and surrounding garden.
This is always a great fun day and the weather could not have better with the lawn in perfect condition, having been mowed by Terry just before we started.
About 30 people attended including members, partners and family and almost everyone played. After four very competitive rounds, Art Leadbeater and Gill Girard were named as champions and they deserved it with some excellent play (especially Gill!).
Following the picnic and a few glasses of wine (or Ginger Beer) a celebratory cake, provided by Jocelyn was cut by Nigel and Tony and Nigel gave a few words of thanks to all attending.
Many hands make light work and so it proved when we cleared the site in about 10 minutes.
Thank you to all who attended and especially Terry.
