Bowls Event at the home of Terry Andrew
The event was held on Sunday, 22nd July, and some thirty people attended. Terry and Norma very kindly provided tea/coffee and biscuits on arrival. Each person attending brought their own picnic lunch but bought any drinks (at very reasonable prices) with proceeds going to the Club.
You will recall that the weather was absolutely fabulous! The garden and settings were beautiful and the bowls green was in excellent condition. Everyone was paired up and had a go at bowling although the crown green did continue to catch people out! The eventual winners of the competition were Clare Burton and Tony Spruce. Well done!
Thanks to everyone who helped on the day. A special thanks to John Campbell who managed to sell all remaining bottles of the tomato sauce which had been especially labelled and badged for the Rotary "End Polio Now" campaign!
Our heartfelt thanks to Terry and Norma for opening their home to us for such a wonderful day's entertainment.
