Apollo Guernsey - an inspiring visit to Rotary Guernsey

Rotary Guernsey recently welcomed Liam Doherty, Founder, CEO and Youth Mentor of Apollo Guernsey, to speak to members about the charity's work and the impact it is having on young people across the Island.

Our Youth Opportunities Team had become aware of the work being undertaken by this relatively young Guernsey charity and invited Liam to tell us more.

Apollo provides mentoring, youth groups and a range of activities and experiences, helping young people develop confidence, build friendships and discover new opportunities.

Liam gave us a fascinating insight into Apollo's work and the difference it is making. His enthusiasm and commitment were truly inspiring.

It was also a pleasure to congratulate Liam on receiving the 2026 Pride of Guernsey Diversity and Inclusion Award, recognising his work supporting young people.

We've put together a short video to share some of what we learnt during Liam's visit - watch the video below.

Our thanks to Liam for joining us and sharing Apollo's story. We wish him and the Apollo team continued success with their important work.
