Angela Salmon has been involved with Guernsey Conservation Volunteers (GCV) since 2004, including 18 years as a volunteer Group Coordinator before taking on her current role as Operations Director in 2022.
A former primary school teacher, Angela now devotes her time to conservation and encouraging community involvement. Over the years, GCV has expanded its activities, helping to protect and enhance Guernsey’s natural environment.
The charity was the first in the Channel Islands to receive the King’s Award for Voluntary Service, recognising the outstanding contribution of its volunteers.
Angela will share some of GCV’s achievements and the difference its volunteers are making across the island.
