Lihou Beach Clean followed by tea and cake

Join us for a rewarding afternoon of beach cleaning around Lihou Island, led by the Clean Earth Trust.

We will meet at 3.15pm in the Lihou car park, above the causeway, for a short safety briefing. Buckets, gloves and litter pickers will be provided, and we will cross when the causeway opens at 3.35pm.

As well as removing marine litter, we will become citizen scientists for the afternoon—sorting and counting what we collect so the findings can contribute to the Trust’s annual Marine Litter Reports. We must leave Lihou by 5pm at the latest, unless anyone fancies swimming back!

Afterwards, we will celebrate our safe—and hopefully dry—return with tea, coffee and cake at La Blanche Maison, the small white house beside the old aerodrome.

This promises to be a fun and worthwhile team activity: a chance to help our environment, enjoy some fresh air and burn off lunch. Friends, family and guests, including grandchildren, are very welcome. Those unable to attend lunch can meet us directly at Lihou car park.

No formal registration is required, but please email christine.guerin@aspidagroup.com if you plan to attend so that we can arrange enough equipment—and bake enough cake!

In the event of wet weather, bring a coat.
