Our 250-Club Lottery

Will you join our 250-Club lottery? We have run it for more than 25 years and in that time it has raised tens of thousands of Pounds for charity

Why we run a 250-Club lottery

Profits from our 250-Club are donated to charities supported by us, the Rotary Club of Swindon North and Thamesdown (Registered Charity Number 1023031).

At first only our Rotary members could partake in it but now our 250-Club is available to all our supporters and friends.

Shares in each monthly draw cost £1 each and the prize for the owner of the winning share receives half of the total 250-Club income in that month.  If all 250 shares are sold the prize will be £125.

There is no restriction on how many shares an individual may have.

How does our 250-Club work?

  • Partakers buy shares costing £1 per month.
  • The shares are entered in a monthly draw.
  • EVERY month one lucky person wins up to £125 (subject to 250 shares having been sold so it could be less)
  • A draw every month means partakers have 12 opportunities to win every year
  • The more shares a person has, the greater are the chances of winning.
  • 50% of the annual total 250-Club income is distributed to charities supported by us.
  • All the proceeds of the 250 Club are paid into the Rotary Club of Swindon North and Thamesdown’s Trust Fund (Registered Charity Number 1023031).   Nothing is deducted for administration costs.

How to join our 250-Club

If you would like to be in our 250-Club please go to the online application form here, complete and submit it, and then we will contact you to complete the process.  If you prefer not to complete a form online, send an email to rotaryswindonnorth@gmail.com

You can have as many shares as you like (subject to availability).  The more you have - the greater your chance of winning!

But, as a minimum, please commit to having 1 share for 1 year (i.e. 12 monthly payments for at least 1 year).

You will be required to set up a bank standing order payable on the first day of every month.

You may cancel at any time, subject to 2 months’ notice.
