Update to All Members: In the end, 12 members attended the Gloucester Severn Club meeting last night at the Hallmark Hotel, Matson Lane, Gloucester. Unfortunately John Fortnam was unable to attend as he is in Frenchay Hospital, & we all send him & Cynthia all our best wishes for a quick recovery.
The speaker was the Dean of Gloucester, Stephen Lake, who delivered a factual, interesting & humorous look at life as the Dean & also his aspirations for the future of the Cathedral. With 370,000 visitors each year our Cathedral is in the top half a dozen in the country. They have 450 volunteers, a cost base of
