Visit to Houses of Parliament

We have a good social programme of activities to complement our service projects. Some, but not all, are listed on our Future Meetings and Events page.

One meeting a month will have an external speaker or entertainment arranged in-house. Recent speaker topics have covered a safari in Uganda, production of sheep shearing shears and the collection of memorabilia. In-house entertainment has included a New Year Revue and versions of TV favourites such as Desert Island discs and Would I Lie To You.

We have regular skittles and boules matches against other local Rotary clubs while several of our members are keen golfers, cyclists or bowls players.

Visits and outings are also arranged. In 2023 a large group visited The Houses of Parliament and were hosted for part of that day by our then MP, Liam Fox (see photo above). We have various day trips or lunch sessions and an annual weekend away.
