1. If your charity, or local charity group, has a fundraising page such as JustGiving, give your sponsors the link to that page.
2. If you wish to set up your own JustGiving page (or similar) follow the instructions under Charity Groups below.
3. If you prefer to control your fundraising using a paper method, collecting the money yourself, you can produce your own sponsorship form or use a standard one – click here to download.
Rotary Nailsea & Backwell have set up a JustGiving Campaign (also called a Page) for this year’s event - click here.
This makes it possible for you to set up your own fundraising page linked to the Rotary campaign – click here to download instructions. This will give you the benefit that JustGiving will collect Gift aid from those of your sponsors who want to give it and also enable you to publicise the fundraising page on social media or via e-mail.
The sponsorship monies will be sent to Rotary, who will then liaise with you to send on the proceeds to your chosen cause. This is normally done towards the end of September to allow time for all sponsorship monies to be paid in.
Rotary will also “cover” the deductions made by Just Giving from the proceeds of their event sponsorship so that every penny donated to you will go to your cause.
Charities may wish to set up their own independent fundraising page on JustGiving or another fundraising site. If you do, please let the organisers have the link to the page so that the fundraising can be monitored.
The event accumulates a “central pot”, mainly from sponsors and from bucket collections while promoting the event, after costs have been deducted. All the charities taking part benefit from this in proportion to their number of participants.
To make a donation directly to the club to support their Community and Youth projects, please use this JustGiving page.
