Rotary Young Photographer Competition held at Wellington Academy.

Marlborough & District Rotary Club organised the first round of this photographic competition at Wellington Academy, Ludgershall. The subject was 'Peace'. Judging of the competition took place on 17 December, judges were Rotarians Tony Green and Peter Mansfield ably assisted by David Uttley. 

The competition was split into two sections, intermediate and senior, and in addition to their photographs the competitors had to submit a fifty word introduction.  All photographs were of a very high standard and for the top three in each section Tony Green gave a critique highlighting their good and not so good aspects.

The intermediate prize was awarded to Joyce Seabrook and the senior prize to Megan Holden. Prizes of photographic folders to the winners and certificates for winners and runners up were handed out by Marlborough Rotary Senior Vice President Paul Cowan. All contestants received aT-shirt.    

The competition was organised for Rotary by Gerry Hooper. The teacher for photography at the academy, Kayleigh Furnell,  who was presented with a bouquet of flowers to thank her for her help and assistance.
