Our committee exists to foster relationships with communities abroad, to identify appropriate projects to support and to ensure that there are adequate contingency plans in place for unexpected emergencies.
Examples of causes we have supported include Mercy Ships and the building of a much needed kitchen in an African school in Tanzania. We also support organisations such as Hope and Homes for Children which are locally based charities.
Over the years many overseas charities and also a variety of international disasters have been helped by the provision of much needed and life saving equipment such as Shelter Boxes making a difference to communities in crisis.
Various fund raising activities are organised to meet these requirements.
