New Generations - Working on projects to benefit young people in our community

Our aim is to improve the lives of young people and to help children who are disadvantaged

We undertake various programmes and projects including:

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards
Young Musician of the Year contest
Fun Days for disadvantaged youngsters

We support various organisations and charities including:

Kids in Mind charity
Woodlands Special School (formerly Walnuts School)
Christmas presents for children in Ukraine

Last June Rotarian Jane Lynds accompanied nearly 130 special needs children, together with teaching staff and helpers, from Woodlands School (formerly Walnuts School) on an annual day out to Whipsnade Adventure Park courtesy of Wolverton & Stony Stratford Rotary. One of the highlights of the day was the popular train ride through the park where the youngsters could view a wide variety of animals from the comfort and safety of their carriages.

The last few weeks of the year are traditionally the busiest time in the club's fundraising calendar with last year being no exception, particularly with its Santa Sleigh outings and attendance at Christmas Lights switch-on events

Rotary delivered some heavyweight gear in the form of a large punch bag together with 30 pairs of boxing gloves to 'KKOTS' (Keeping Kids off the Street) a local non-profit organisation.
