Disaster relief in the Caribbean

The Club donates £2,950 to fund five ShelterBoxes. Members donate sufficient for another seven - 12 in total
In response to the trail of devastation caused by Hurricanes Irma and Maria in the Caribbean, the Rotary Club of St Albans decided, at its regular weekly meeting on 12 September 2017, to donate £2,950 to ShelterBox which is sufficient to fund five ShelterBoxes. In addition, Club members indicated that they would be willing to fund more boxes on an individual basis. As of 30 November 2017, Members had contributed sufficient money to fund a further seven ShelterBoxes - 12 in total. This brings the total of Shelterboxes funded by the Club and its Members to 77.
