Thanks to Riverside Primary School for filling Rotary Shoe Boxes as 2 pupils load the last boxes

Rotary club of Stirling meeting of 15th November.

President Sandy Farquharson welcomed members to a business meeting, reporting on the recent council meeting. Gordon Murphy has taken responsibility for the club's involvement in RYLA, and is currently approaching local schools for candidates to attend next year’s camp.
Always much enjoyed by previous participants, youngsters spend a week of physical activity and discussion of topical subjects. The shoe boxes, containing useful items for victims of disasters, have now been delivered. Riverside Primary again filled a remarkable number of boxes, for which we thank them. Treasurer Edmond Mansion presented a set of up to date accounts which were approved. Colin Bayes proposed that we take part in a litter picking event next Spring organised by Keep Scotland Beautiful, to which members agreed. The club Xmas lunch will be on Friday 20th December.

Next week's meeting on 22nd November is an SGM at which next year’s office bearers will be elected. Visitor's host Mike Queen.
