Annual Am-Am Rotary Golf Match

The Rotary Club of Stirling’s annual Am/Am Golf Match took place on Friday 24th May at the Stirling Golf Club. Alan Rankin (plus Anne) had done a tremendous job organising everything from obtaining 19 teams from as far a field as Canada to as close as Stirling Golf Club. He had left nothing to chance to spoil the day by somehow managing to choose a bright sunny warm day.

Everyone commented on how well the Stirling Golf Course looked thanks to all the hard work done by all the greenkeepers. The catering was also up to the normal high standards we have come to expect in the club’s dining room served by their friendly staff.

The winners on the day were Team Rock & Reel captained by Tricia Chillas, Alison Davidson, Pat Morris and Frank Gordon winners of the Hepting & Farrer Trophy

We as a club are lucky to have Sandy Morrison as a member who spends much time taking all the photographs.

But our main thanks go to all nineteen teams who participated once again to help us raise around £2000.00 which will be distributed to various local worthy causes
