Rotary Primary School Quiz Area Final in the Albert Halls

Stirling Rotary recently hosted the regional Rotary Primary School Quiz Final in the Albert Halls in Stirling.  12 Primary School teams from schools throughout Stirlingshire and Perthshire battled out the quiz over 10 rounds of various subjects.  The winning team (pictured above) was Dunblane Primary with Dunning Primary from Perthshire coming second.  Both  teams progress to the Rotary Primary School Quiz Grand Final which will be held in the Beach Ballroom, Aberdeen.  Stirling Club President, Peter Mehta introduced the event, said “ it is a privilege to witness such a close and well fought quiz and the pupils are a credit to not just themselves but to their teachers and schools”.
Assistant Rotary District Governor, Alistair Spowage, was in attendance to present the prizes to the winners and certificates to all the participants.  Alistair congratulated each and every pupil in attendance observing that they had all performed heroically having already won through a local heat to reach the Stirling Final stage.  Alistair also thanked the parents and teachers for their support and Stirling Rotary Club organisers, Derek Anderson and Don McLeod for hosting a flawless event.
