President's Night 2014

Rotary club of Stirling  meeting of 4/12/14
President David Paterson and his wife Christine welcomed members and
guests to our annual President's night dinner at the Park Lodge hotel on
4th December. Among the top table guests from local Rotary, Inner Wheel
and Probus clubs was Assistant District Governor John Anderson carrying
out his last official function at the end of his term of office.
President David took the opportunity to present him with our donation to
the running of the Nyambami HIV/AIDS orphans complex in Kenya. Along
with other Rotarians, John is due to join a working party there in
February 2015. Nyambami is a long standing Rotary project, one of
several similar units run by Rotarians from several different countries.
Following an excellent meal, we were entertained by the Stirling High
School jazz band, and the school also provided the piper who welcomed us
to the hotel. The performance of all the players was first rate.
The evening ended with the presentation of the sport's trophies by the
president's wife Christine.
Vote of thanks was given by SVP Peter Mehta.
