Bethany Carter is a Global Grant Scholar from the USA studying at LSE.

Bethany Carter

Bethany Carter (27 years old) is a native of Pelham, AL, and graduate of the University of Alabama, from which she graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. in Political Science and Classics.

She is studying for one year at the London School of Economics fianced by a Rotary Foundation Global Grant Scholarship, and is being hosted by the Rotary Club of Barton le Clay.

Bethany’s areas of passion and volunteerism have centered around serving those experiencing barriers to opportunity, including homelessness, poverty, and lack of access to financial services. 

Bethany is  the eldest sibling to three amazing young people, all of whom live in Alabama. Her father is a physician at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), and her mother is a former elementary school educator. Her favourite hobbies include Latin, ballroom, and West Coast swing dancing; physical fitness; treasure-hunting in second-hand shops; and perfecting the art of a high-class soiree.
