Rotary District 1260 - Beds, Bucks and Herts - is hosting seven Global Grant Scholars for this Rotary year 2020/ 2021. Five from the USA and two from Switzerland. All are ‘overflow’ scholars from London District 1130, studying at universities in the capital and financed by Rotary Foundation Global Grants. The Rotary Foundation, a world leading and forward thinking international charity is based in Evanston, USA and provides finance for educational and humanitarian programmes and projects..
All the scholars are studying for one year at their selected London universities, University College, London, the University of London, Kings College, London and the London School of Economics. As part of their Rotary Scholarship responsibilities, pro-activity and involvement with Rotary in general and with Rotary Clubs in District 1260 in particular is expected - also interactivity with their individual host clubs.
The requirement is that they will participate and present between six and ten presentations at various Rotary Clubs. The Scholars are communicative, stimulating and interesting. They are enthusiastic about visiting the Rotary Clubs, are talented and pro-active speakers. If you are interested in attending one of the Scholar's presentations, contact, in the first instance
