Our President Geoff Simmonds presented a cheque for £2,500 to Nicki Poole from Willen Hospice.

Our President Geoff Simmonds last night presented a cheque for £2,500 to Nicki Poole from Willen Hospice.

Nicki explained that £4.7 million was required each year to maintain all the services that the Hospice provide, that equates to £9 required per minute for every day of the year. She explained because of limited beds and an increase in our age population the Hospice has started a new initiative called‘Heart in the Community’, this allows individuals/patients to be visited and treated in their own homes without the need of them visiting the Hospice.
