5th Wednesday Meeting with Partners

Wed, Aug 29th 2018 at 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Optional dinner, followed by a talk on "The Great Train Robbery" by Hugh Granger.
Introduced by: John Neale. VoT: Colin Kidby. Fellowship: Roger Simmons

Our speaker at last night's meeting was Hugh Granger, who gave a fascinating presentation on The Great Train Robbery. Hugh had conducted significant research into the people, planning and perpetration of one of Britain's most notorious robberies, carried out not far from Newport Pagnell. It seems the hardened criminals made some schoolboy errors that led to their arrest.
Our meeting room was filled to capacity as we were joined by partners, friends and Rotarians from other Clubs. Before the presentation, we had all enjoyed an excellent meal at The Swan Revived Hotel's restaurant.
