Wokingham RC and the environment

Mon, Feb 22nd 2021 at 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Meet our very own Rodney Huggins MBE Rotary's Environmental lead and Local Councillor, Gregor Murray. To see what we're doing for the environment, & how you can join our team.

Supporting the Environment

At last the World is really starting to face up to the indescribable issues that the progressive abuse of our planet Earth has created.

Sir David Attenborough was ahead of the recognition, of course.  In 2020 Rotary International adopted Environment as a Seventh Challenge to address.

Now Bill Gates has entered the arena.  The Gates Foundation chose to joint fund Rotary’s action, seeking elimination of Polio from the world.  This is now close to completion.

Addressing Environmental issues will require myriad global smaller local actions.  Together these will start to take effect and they need to be initiated now, joining with projects already started.

Wokingham Rotary Club is holding an online discussion, outlining local approaches that are seen as relevant.   PLEASE join us and contribute your thoughts and ideas, so that together we can move forward.  We look forward to hearing from you.

Join us on Monday 22nd February at 6pm - 7pm via zoom.
