Helping street kids in Guatemala City

Frank Gonzales, a director of Street Kids Direct in Guatemala, joined us for lunch today.

He has worked alongside Duncan Dyason since meeting him 12 years ago, inspired by the remarkable work of the organisation.

Frank explained that their primary focus is to support children in Guatemala City until they reach the age of 18 and are able to resist the pressures of street life — including exposure to crime, alcohol, and drugs.

Providing these children with food, education, and mentoring requires significant resources, and we are proud that our Rotary Club has been able to contribute over the years.

Frank is greatly supported by Terry Neal, who has made many trips to Guatemala, and by David Cadwallader, our President.
