Sara Autton tells us the history of the baking industry

Sara Autton, our speaker this evening, is a long-standing member and past Chairman of the British Society of Baking. In just 45 minutes she managed to cover nearly 1,000 years of heritage and history.

Sara is also a Freeman of the City of London and a Liveryman. And as Assistant on the Court of the Worshipful Company of Bakers, she chairs the Trade Liaison Committee, which strengthens connections with the industry that the Livery Company has served for centuries.

Her presentation was riveting and took our members into a world few of us knew much about.
