Steve and Michelle Catanach gave a great description of how ‘Amersham in Bloom’ has became such a resounding success. Attracting volunteers was instrumental and an important recruit was Andy Honour. This gifted gentleman was the designer and maker of a number of craft structures over the years, from WW1 aeroplanes and ships, to the model Metropolitan Steam Locomotive, to be seen in Top Amersham. Steve’s passion attracted many volunteers who give much of their time to the creations we see in the Memorial Gardens and beyond. Being judges the best in all categories for the whole of the Uk in 2022 was the pnnacle of achievement. Steve also reminded us of all the other improvements that had been made to the environment in Amersham with support from all members of the community including schools businesses and ourselves and told us of the latest project which was a map to guide children around points of interest in Amersham on the Hill.
